Marketing, at its core, is about connection and community, and those two ideas have shaped the way I work throughout my entire career. To me, it is never just about eye-catching visuals or clever messaging. It is about building meaningful relationships and helping an organization express a clear, human identity. Great marketing creates a sense of belonging. It brings people together around a shared experience or value, and when it is done thoughtfully and intentionally, it strengthens relationships and leaves people feeling seen and understood.

But before you can craft a strong message, you have to understand who you are speaking to. You need to know what your audience cares about, how they see the world, and where your organization fits into their daily lives. Retail is not for the weak, and owning and managing multiple retail locations sharpened my ability to handle a wide range of personalities and navigate high-pressure situations with confidence. I’ve managed employees from all walks of life, worked through challenging customer interactions, and tackled unpredictable crises that can shake a business to its core (hello, pandemic). These experiences have made me resilient, adaptable, and skilled at handling even the trickiest situations—whether it’s resolving conflicts, making tough decisions under pressure, or keeping things moving when everything feels chaotic. No matter the challenge, I stay composed, solution-oriented, and focused on the bigger picture.
